Curriculum Highlights of the Mathematics Department
Our Mathematics curriculum is primarily designed around two core pillars: "Addressing Learning Diversity" and "Flexible & Diverse Articulation." Through flexible class streaming, we effectively achieve the goals of stretching the gifted (enrichment) and supporting the underachieving (remedial).

Same-Grade Pull-Out Streaming (Cross-Class Grouping) | By breaking the boundaries of original classes, students are regrouped based on their mathematics academic results into "Elite Groups (Enrichment)," "Standard Groups," and "Remedial Groups (Support)." This allows teachers to tailor the teaching pace and the difficulty of questions according to each group's specific needs. | |||

Language Streaming (English vs. Chinese Medium of Instruction) | Students are channeled into either "English-Medium Mathematics Classes" or "Chinese-Medium Mathematics Classes" based on their English proficiency and mathematical foundation. English-Medium Classes: Adopt full English learning materials to build a solid foundation for senior secondary education or overseas studies. Chinese-Medium Classes: Ensure that students' comprehension of mathematical concepts is not hindered by language barriers. | |||

Senior Secondary DSE Extended Part (M1) Grouping | In senior secondary (S4–S6), the three classes are divided into five groups for Mathematics, consisting of the "Compulsory Part" (4 groups) and the "Extended Part" (1 group). | Core Groups: English & Chinese-Medium Classes (Enrichment): In addition to the compulsory curriculum, students explore advanced enrichment topics in-depth, enabling them to apply what they have learned to solve daily life and mathematical problems. | English & Chinese-Medium Classes (Remedial): Students focus solely on the compulsory curriculum, freeing up time to consolidate their basic concepts. | M1 Group: Students study the Compulsory Part alongside Module 1 (Calculus and Statistics), which focuses on statistical applications and introductory calculus.
